Faculty & Staff Resources
The HSI Initiatives Team is proud to partner with the Teaching and Learning Center and Institutional Research, Analytics, and Planning Support (IRAPS) to strengthen our university’s capacity for materials and workshops that increase our capacity as equity-minded educators. Below is a link to tools and resources designed for faculty and staff.

Equity Data Playbook
The Equity Data Playbook is a Canvas course designed by the TLC, HSI Initiatives, and IRAPS to accompany the Departmental Equity Profile Dashboard at UC Santa Cruz.
The Departmental Equity Profile Dashboard provides a departmental snapshot of key metrics and undergraduate student success milestones, such as grades, major declaration, and retention through an explicit equity lens.

Getting to know your student’s dashboard
The “Getting to Know Your Students” dashboard uses IRAPS data to provide information about the students enrolled in your current or upcoming course.
This dashboard is intended to facilitate a deeper understanding of the students enrolled in your course. It will help you design and deliver your course more effectively and better support all of your students.

Transfer Coherence
The Transfer Coherence component of the Cultivamos Excelencia project focuses on building the capacity for academic departmental understanding of Latinx Transfer student success and identifying actions they can take to improve Transfer Coherence (Zemsky et al., 2018; Ward, 2020; Park and Ngo, 2021; Sublett & Orenstein, 2021).

Transfer Receptive Culture Toolkit
This toolkit is designed for faculty and departmental staff to explore important topics for transfer student success.
We hope these topics will support you in learning more about what you can do to create a Transfer-Receptive Culture and support your journey for awareness, action, and advocacy for transfer student success.
