Summer Transition Program (STP) offers 2 virtual events and a 3 day early move-in orientation that offers incoming UCSC transfer students intentional support with acclimating to the quarter system and assistance with financial planning, navigating the campus, balancing family responsibilities, and making intentional connections with resources and opportunities.
STP Annual Program Cycle:
- April: outreach to admitted students begins through Admissions
- June: After admitted students submit their statement of intent to register, they are invited to apply for STP
- July: A kick off event with a program overview
- Early - August: Virtual enrollment overview event
- 3 days before general move-in: The early move-in orientation offers student-led workshops, support with locating your classes, and a community resource fair
STP currently serves UCSC transfer students from San Jose City College, Cabrillo College, and Hartnell College and the 13 regional Pister Scholars. Please note that newly admitted UCSC students from our current partner institutions will receive a priority email invitation to join STP in June.
The 1:1 mentorship is facilitated in collaboration with the STARS Transition Mentorship Program. Click here to learn more about TMP.
